इन्द्रा॑सोमा वा॒सय॑थ उ॒षास॒मुत्सूर्यं॑ नयथो॒ ज्योति॑षा स॒ह। उप॒ द्यां स्क॒म्भथुः॒ स्कम्भ॑ने॒नाप्र॑थतं पृथि॒वीं मा॒तरं॒ वि ॥२॥
indrāsomā vāsayatha uṣāsam ut sūryaṁ nayatho jyotiṣā saha | upa dyāṁ skambhathuḥ skambhanenāprathatam pṛthivīm mātaraṁ vi ||
इन्द्रा॑सोमा। वा॒सय॑थः। उ॒षस॑म्। उत्। सूर्य॑म्। न॒य॒थः॒। ज्योति॑षा। स॒ह। उप॑। द्याम्। स्क॒म्भथुः॑। स्कम्भ॑नेन। अप्र॑थतम्। पृ॒थि॒वीम्। मा॒तर॑म्। वि ॥२॥

फिर वे किसके तुल्य क्या करते हैं, इस विषय को कहते हैं ॥

हे अध्यापकोपदेशकौ ! यथेन्द्रासोमोषासमुत् सूर्यं वासयतस्तथा विद्यान्यायाभ्यां प्रजा युवां वासयथः। यथेमौ ज्योतिषा सह द्यां स्कम्भतस्तथा सद्व्यवहारमुपस्कम्भथुः। यथेमौ स्कम्भनेन मातरमिव वर्त्तमाना पृथिवीं प्रथेते तथैव राज्यं व्यप्रथतं सुखं नयथः ॥२॥

What do they (Indra and Soma )o like whom — is told.
O teachers and preachers ! as the air and electricity inhabit the dawn and the sun, so establish the people firmly with knowledge and justice. As they uphold the sky with the light, so uphold or support good dealing. As with their support, they spread out the earth-mother of all, so spread out or make the state advanced and lead all to happiness.
