इन्द्रा॑विष्णू ह॒विषा॑ वावृधा॒नाग्रा॑द्वाना॒ नम॑सा रातहव्या। घृता॑सुती॒ द्रवि॑णं धत्तम॒स्मे स॑मु॒द्रः स्थः॑ क॒लशः॑ सोम॒धानः॑ ॥६॥
indrāviṣṇū haviṣā vāvṛdhānāgrādvānā namasā rātahavyā | ghṛtāsutī draviṇaṁ dhattam asme samudraḥ sthaḥ kalaśaḥ somadhānaḥ ||
इन्द्रा॑विष्णू॒ इति॑। ह॒विषा॑। व॒वृ॒धा॒ना। अग्र॑ऽअद्वाना। नम॑सा। रा॒त॒ऽह॒व्या॒। घृता॑सुती॒ इति॒ घृत॑ऽआसुती। द्रवि॑णम्। ध॒त्त॒म्। अ॒स्मे इति॑। स॒मु॒द्रः। स्थः॒। क॒लशः॑। सो॒म॒ऽधानः॑ ॥६॥

पुनस्तौ कीदृशौ सम्पाद्य किं कर्त्तव्यमित्याह ॥
हे ऋत्विग्यजमानौ ! यथा हविषा वावृधानाग्राद्वाना नमसा रातहव्या घृतासुती इन्द्राविष्णू अस्मे द्रविणं धत्तस्तथा युवां धत्तं सोमधानः समुद्रः कलश इव स्थः ॥६॥

How should they be made and what should be done by men-is told.
O priest and the Yajamana (performer of the yajna)! as the air and the sun purified and increasing men in health, by oblations, distributors of what is eaten (by the fire in the form of oblation) givers of what is worth giving, by food materials, impelled by the butter, uphold for us wealth or good reputation, so you should also do. You are like the vessel in which Soma and other invigorating herbs and plants are put -a jar full of water or firmament or cloud from which waters are rained down.
