भ॒द्रा द॑दृक्ष उर्वि॒या वि भा॒स्युत्ते॑ शो॒चिर्भा॒नवो॒ द्याम॑पप्तन्। आ॒विर्वक्षः॑ कृणुषे शु॒म्भमा॒नोषो॑ देवि॒ रोच॑माना॒ महो॑भिः ॥२॥
bhadrā dadṛkṣa urviyā vi bhāsy ut te śocir bhānavo dyām apaptan | āvir vakṣaḥ kṛṇuṣe śumbhamānoṣo devi rocamānā mahobhiḥ ||
भ॒द्रा। द॒दृ॒क्षे॒। उ॒र्वि॒या। वि। भा॒सि॒। उत्। ते॒। शो॒चिः। भा॒नवः॑। द्याम्। अ॒प॒प्त॒न्। आ॒विः। वक्षः॑। कृ॒णु॒षे॒। शु॒म्भमा॑ना। उषः॑। दे॒वि॒। रोच॑माना। महः॑ऽभिः ॥२॥
स्वामी दयानन्द सरस्वती
फिर वह कैसी हो, इस विषय को कहते हैं ॥
हरिशरण सिद्धान्तालंकार
रोचमाना-महोभिः शुम्भमाना
स्वामी दयानन्द सरस्वती
पुनः सा कीदृशी भवेदित्याह ॥
हे उषर्वद्वर्त्तमाने देवि ! यतस्त्वं भद्रा दृदृक्ष उर्विया सती गृहकृत्यान्युद्वि भासि यस्यास्ते शोचिर्भानवो द्यामपप्तन्निव वक्ष आविष्कृणुषे महोभिः शुम्भमाना रोचमाना सती सुखं प्रयच्छसि तस्मात् संपूज्यासि ॥२॥

Of what kind should a woman be- is told.
O highly learned lady! you who are like the dawn, you are worthy of veneration as you are auspicious and very good. You illumine all domestic duties, being of various forms. Far shines your luster. Like the rays of the sun going to the heaven, your luster goes up. You manifest your bosom, shining in majesty with knowledge and humility. You bestow happiness upon us shining by your great and noble virtues, actions and temperament.
