तस्य॑ व॒यं सु॑म॒तौ य॒ज्ञिय॒स्यापि॑ भ॒द्रे सौ॑मन॒से स्या॑म। स सु॒त्रामा॒ स्ववाँ॒ इन्द्रो॑ अ॒स्मे आ॒राच्चि॒द्द्वेषः॑ सनु॒तर्यु॑योतु ॥१३॥
tasya vayaṁ sumatau yajñiyasyāpi bhadre saumanase syāma | sa sutrāmā svavām̐ indro asme ārāc cid dveṣaḥ sanutar yuyotu ||
तस्य॑। व॒यम्। सु॒ऽम॒तौ। य॒ज्ञिय॑स्य। अपि॑। भ॒द्रे। सौ॒म॒न॒से। स्या॒म॒। सः। सु॒ऽत्रामा॑। स्वऽवा॑न्। इन्द्रः॑। अ॒स्मे इति॑। आ॒रात्। चि॒त्। द्वेषः॑। स॒नु॒तः। यु॒यो॒तु॒ ॥१३॥

पुना राजप्रजाजनाः कथं वर्त्तेरन्नित्याह ॥
हे मनुष्या ! वयं तस्य यज्ञियस्य सुमतौ सौमनसे भद्रेऽपि निश्चयेन वर्त्तमानाः स्याम। यः स्ववानिन्द्रोऽस्मे सुत्रामा सन्नस्माकमाराद्दूराच्चिद्द्वेषः सनुतर्युयोतु सोऽस्माभिः सदैव सत्कर्त्तव्यः ॥१३॥

How should kings and their subjects deal with one another-is told.
O men ! let us be in the good intellect and in the auspicious righteous mental dealing of that king, who is endowed with knowledge and humility and is doer of the service to the enlightened person, association with them and gift of knowledge, let that king, who is well protector of all, endowed with his own power, keep away from us-whether near us or far, all haters of Dharma (righteousness and duty). He is therefore, to be respected by us.
