वर्धा॒द्यं य॒ज्ञ उ॒त सोम॒ इन्द्रं॒ वर्धा॒द्ब्रह्म॒ गिर॑ उ॒क्था च॒ मन्म॑। वर्धाहै॑नमु॒षसो॒ याम॑न्न॒क्तोर्वर्धा॒न्मासाः॑ श॒रदो॒ द्याव॒ इन्द्र॑म् ॥४॥
vardhād yaṁ yajña uta soma indraṁ vardhād brahma gira ukthā ca manma | vardhāhainam uṣaso yāmann aktor vardhān māsāḥ śarado dyāva indram ||
वर्धा॑त्। यम्। य॒ज्ञः। उ॒त। सोमः॑। इन्द्र॑म्। वर्धा॑त्। ब्रह्म॑। गिरः॑। उ॒क्था। च॒। मन्म॑। वर्ध॑। अह॑। ए॒न॒म्। उ॒षसः॑। याम॑न्। अ॒क्तोः। वर्धा॑न्। मासाः॑। श॒रदः॑। द्यावः॑। इन्द्र॑म् ॥४॥

अथ मनुष्याः किं वर्धयेयुरित्याह ॥
हे मनुष्या ! यमिन्द्रं यज्ञ उत सोमो वर्धाद् ब्रह्म वर्धादुक्था मन्म गिरश्च वर्धाहैनमुषसोऽक्तोर्यामन् मासाः शरदो द्यावश्चेन्द्रं वर्धान् तेऽस्मान् वर्धयन्तु ॥४॥

What should men increase-is told.
I glorify the Lord of the world, whose glory is multiplied or manifested by the Yajna (consisting of the association with good) and enlightened men urging others to do good deeds. Whose glory is sung by the Vedas, admirable words of the wise, wealth and true knowledge. The dawn, nights, months, autumn and other seasons, days or eights all manifest the glory of that God.
