वधी॒दिन्द्रो॑ व॒रशि॑खस्य॒ शेषो॑ऽभ्याव॒र्तिने॑ चायमा॒नाय॒ शिक्ष॑न्। वृ॒चीव॑तो॒ यद्ध॑रियू॒पीया॑यां॒ हन्पूर्वे॒ अर्धे॑ भि॒यसाप॑रो॒ दर्त् ॥५॥
vadhīd indro varaśikhasya śeṣo bhyāvartine cāyamānāya śikṣan | vṛcīvato yad dhariyūpīyāyāṁ han pūrve ardhe bhiyasāparo dart ||
वधी॑त्। इन्द्रः॑। व॒रऽशि॑खस्य। शेषः॑। अ॒भि॒ऽआ॒व॒र्तिने॑। चा॒य॒मा॒नाय॑। शिक्ष॑न्। वृ॒चीव॑तः। यत्। ह॒रि॒यू॒पीया॑याम्। हन्। पूर्वे॑। अर्धे॑। भि॒यसा॑। अप॑रः। दर्त् ॥५॥

हे मनुष्या ! यद्यः शेष इन्द्रस्सूर्यो वृचीवतो वरशिखस्याऽभ्यावर्त्तिन इव चायमानाय शिक्षन् भियसा हरियूपीयायां पूर्वेऽर्द्धे हन् वधीत्, अपरो विद्युदग्निस्तं दर्त् दृणाति तथा वर्त्तमानमुपदेशकं वयं सत्कुर्याम ॥५॥

How is an ideal king-is told.
As the sun smites down the cloud, so a king full of splendor destroys his enemies and gives instruction to a man who approaches him again and again and honors him. He slays the wicked enemies at the place of drinking the Soma of those good men who desire the Munis (hermits) if they disturb them mischievously. The electric current sent by the king destroys such wicked person. At the same time, while destroying the wicked, we should honor a preacher of truth.
