त्वं तदु॒क्थमि॑न्द्र ब॒र्हणा॑ कः॒ प्र यच्छ॒ता स॒हस्रा॑ शूर॒ दर्षि॑। अव॑ गि॒रेर्दासं॒ शम्ब॑रं ह॒न्प्रावो॒ दिवो॑दासं चि॒त्राभि॑रू॒ती ॥५॥
tvaṁ tad uktham indra barhaṇā kaḥ pra yac chatā sahasrā śūra darṣi | ava girer dāsaṁ śambaraṁ han prāvo divodāsaṁ citrābhir ūtī ||
त्वम्। तत्। उ॒क्थम्। इ॒न्द्र॒। ब॒र्हणा॑। क॒रिति॑ कः। प्र। य॒त्। श॒ता। स॒हस्रा॑। शू॒र॒। दर्षि॑। अव॑। गि॒रेः। दास॑म्। शम्ब॑रम्। ह॒न्। प्र। आ॒वः॒। दिवः॑ऽदासम्। चि॒त्राभिः॑। ऊ॒ती ॥५॥

हे इन्द्र राजन् ! यद्यतस्त्वं चित्राभिरूती तदुक्थं बर्हणा कः। हे शूर ! शता सहस्रा प्र दर्षि गिरेर्दासं शम्बरमव हन्त्सूर्य इव हंसि तथा दिवोदासं प्रावः ॥५॥

The same subject of duties of a king-is continued.
O Indra-king-giver of happiness ! with wonderful protections you utter the admirable words encouraging people thereby. O destroyer of your enemies! you destroy hundreds of thousands of the foes. You slay a servant and accomplice of the wicked foe, pleasing him who like cloud covers or obstructs the happiness of good persons.
