तं पृ॒च्छन्ती॒ वज्र॑हस्तं रथे॒ष्ठामिन्द्रं॒ वेपी॒ वक्व॑री॒ यस्य॒ नू गीः। तु॒वि॒ग्रा॒भं तु॑विकू॒र्मिं र॑भो॒दां गा॒तुमि॑षे॒ नक्ष॑ते॒ तुम्र॒मच्छ॑ ॥५॥
tam pṛcchantī vajrahastaṁ ratheṣṭhām indraṁ vepī vakvarī yasya nū gīḥ | tuvigrābhaṁ tuvikūrmiṁ rabhodāṁ gātum iṣe nakṣate tumram accha ||
तम्। पृ॒च्छन्ती॑। वज्र॑ऽहस्तम्। र॒थे॒ऽस्थाम्। इन्द्र॑म्। वेपी॑। वक्व॑री। यस्य॑। नु। गीः। तु॒वि॒ऽग्रा॒भम्। तु॒वि॒ऽकू॒र्मिम्। र॒भः॒ऽदाम्। गा॒तुम्। इ॒षे॒। नक्ष॑ते। तुम्र॑म्। अच्छ॑ ॥५॥

पुनः स्त्री कीदृशं पतिं गृह्णीयादित्याह ॥
हे मनुष्या ! यस्येषे गीस्तुविग्राभं तुविकूर्मिं रभोदां तुम्रं गातुमच्छा नक्षते तं वज्रहस्तं रथेष्ठामिन्द्रं पृच्छन्ती वेपी वक्वरी नू स्यात्तं वयमप्याश्रयेम ॥५॥

What kind of husband should be taken (chosen) by a girl is told.
O men ! we should also approach a virtuous man, whom an intelligent woman (girl) with good power of speech approaches after enquiring of him, as he has thunderbolt- like powerful arms and missiles in his hands, in his car as well and endowed with great wealth and prosperity. The speech of the people goes towards him for the acquirement of food materials etc. because he is accepter of (performer) of many good deeds, and giver of impetuous strength for the protection of the land.
