तूर्व॒न्नोजी॑यान्त॒वस॒स्तवी॑यान्कृ॒तब्र॒ह्मेन्द्रो॑ वृ॒द्धम॑हाः। राजा॑भव॒न्मधु॑नः सो॒म्यस्य॒ विश्वा॑सां॒ यत्पु॒रां द॒र्त्नुमाव॑त् ॥३॥
tūrvann ojīyān tavasas tavīyān kṛtabrahmendro vṛddhamahāḥ | rājābhavan madhunaḥ somyasya viśvāsāṁ yat purāṁ dartnum āvat ||
तूर्व॑न्। ओजी॑यान्। त॒वसः॑। तवी॑यान्। कृ॒तऽब्र॑ह्मा। इन्द्रः॑। वृ॒द्धऽम॑हाः। राजा॑। अ॒भ॒व॒त्। मधु॑नः। सो॒म्यस्य॑। विश्वा॑साम्। यत्। पु॒राम्। द॒र्त्नुम्। आव॑त् ॥३॥

तवसः तवीयान्

पुनस्तमेव विषयमाह ॥
हे मनुष्या ! यद्यः शत्रूँस्तूर्वन्नोजीयांस्तवसस्तवीयान् कृतब्रह्मा वृद्धमहा इन्द्रो राजाऽभवत् सोम्यस्य मधुनो विश्वासां पुरां दर्त्नुमावत् तमेव राजानं कुरुध्वम् ॥३॥

Men's ideal desires are described.
O men ! you should make him as your king, who is the slayer of the foes, is mightier of the mighty and much admired, who has amassed wealth and food, multiplier of prosperity. Moreover, that king should have many great assistants. He protects that man who sends asunder the cities of the wicked and (distributes) the sweet juice of the Soma and other plants.
