स ईं॑ पाहि॒ य ऋ॑जी॒षी तरु॑त्रो॒ यः शिप्र॑वान्वृष॒भो यो म॑ती॒नाम्। यो गो॑त्र॒भिद्व॑ज्र॒भृद्यो ह॑रि॒ष्ठाः स इ॑न्द्र चि॒त्राँ अ॒भि तृ॑न्धि॒ वाजा॑न् ॥२॥
sa īm pāhi ya ṛjīṣī tarutro yaḥ śipravān vṛṣabho yo matīnām | yo gotrabhid vajrabhṛd yo hariṣṭhāḥ sa indra citrām̐ abhi tṛndhi vājān ||
सः। ई॒म्। पा॒हि॒। यः। ऋ॒जी॒षी। तरु॑त्रः। यः। शिप्र॑ऽवान्। वृ॒ष॒भः। यः। म॒ती॒नाम्। यः। गो॒त्र॒ऽभित्। व॒ज्र॒ऽभृत्। यः। ह॒रि॒ऽस्थाः। सः। इ॒न्द्र॒। चि॒त्रान्। अ॒भि। तृ॒न्धि॒। वाजा॑न् ॥२॥
स्वामी दयानन्द सरस्वती
फिर उसी विषय को कहते हैं ॥

ऋजीषी तरुत्रः
स्वामी दयानन्द सरस्वती
पुनस्तमेव विषयमाह ॥
हे इन्द्र ! य ऋजीषी तरुत्रस्त्वमसि स ईं पाहि यः शिप्रवान् वृषभो यो मतीनां वृषभो यो वज्रभृद् गोत्रभिदसि यो हरिष्ठा असि स त्वं चित्रान् वाजानभि तृन्धि ॥२॥

The same subject of men's duties is continued.
O destroyer of the wicked ! you are of straightforward and upright nature and have risen above all miseries, and protect the thing which you have obtained. You are of beauteous jaws and nose, mighty among 'men, wielder of the thunderbolt-like sharp weapons, piercer of the band of the wicked and destroyer of the evils and miseries. You smite down the violent men even though they may be endowed with marvelous strength.
