धू॒नु॒थ द्यां पर्व॑तान्दा॒शुषे॒ वसु॒ नि वो॒ वना॑ जिहते॒ याम॑नो भि॒या। को॒पय॑थ पृथि॒वीं पृ॑श्निमातरः शु॒भे यदु॑ग्राः॒ पृष॑ती॒रयु॑ग्ध्वम् ॥३॥
dhūnutha dyām parvatān dāśuṣe vasu ni vo vanā jihate yāmano bhiyā | kopayatha pṛthivīm pṛśnimātaraḥ śubhe yad ugrāḥ pṛṣatīr ayugdhvam ||
धू॒नु॒थ। द्याम्। पर्व॑तान्। दा॒शुषे॑। वसु॑। नि। वः॒। वना॑। जि॒ह॒ते॒। याम॑नः। भि॒या। को॒पय॑थ। पृ॒थि॒वीम्। पृ॒श्नि॒ऽमा॒त॒रः॒। शु॒भे। यत्। उ॒ग्राः॒। पृष॑तीः। अयु॑ग्ध्वम् ॥३॥

फिर उसी विषय को कहते हैं ॥

वीरों द्वारा 'पर्वत-वन-पृथिवी' कम्पन

पुनस्तमेव विषयमाह ॥
हे उग्राः ! पृश्निमातरो वायव इव यद्यूयं द्यां पर्वतान् धूनुथ तद्दाशुषे वसु धूनुथ यानि वो वना जिहते तानि यामनो यूयं भिया नि कोपयथ यथा वायवः पृथिवीं युञ्जते तथा शुभे पृषतीरयुग्ध्वम् ॥३॥

O heroes ! you are full of splendour, terrible to the wicked like the winds, whose mother is firmament. You shake the sky and the mountains or clouds. You give wealth to the liberal donor. The forests bend down out of your fear. You go on your way fearlessly. You terrify the wicked. As the winds yoke the earth; so yoke the currents of water (hydroelectric) for getting water (irrigational purposes. Ed.).
