ह॒व्य॒वाळ॒ग्निर॒जरः॑ पि॒ता नो॑ वि॒भुर्वि॒भावा॑ सु॒दृशी॑को अ॒स्मे। सु॒गा॒र्ह॒प॒त्याः समिषो॑ दिदीह्यस्म॒द्र्य१॒॑क्सं मि॑मीहि॒ श्रवां॑सि ॥२॥
havyavāḻ agnir ajaraḥ pitā no vibhur vibhāvā sudṛśīko asme | sugārhapatyāḥ sam iṣo didīhy asmadryak sam mimīhi śravāṁsi ||
ह॒व्य॒ऽवाट्। अ॒ग्निः। अ॒जरः॑। पि॒ता। नः॒। वि॒ऽभुः। वि॒भाऽवा॑। सु॒ऽदृशी॑कः। अ॒स्मे इति॑। सु॒ऽगा॒र्ह॒प॒त्याः। सम्। इषः॑। दि॒दी॒हि॒। अ॒स्म॒द्र्य॑क्। सम्। मि॒मी॒हि॒। श्रवां॑सि ॥२॥

फिर उसी विषय को अगले मन्त्र में कहते हैं ॥
हरिशरण सिद्धान्तालंकार
'हव्यवाळग्निः अजरः पिता नः'
स्वामी दयानन्द सरस्वती
पुनस्तमेव विषयमाह ॥
हे राजन् ! यथा हव्यवाट् सुदृशीकोऽग्निः पावको यथा विभुरीश्वरवत् सर्वं पाति प्रकाशते तथा विभावाऽजरो नः पिता सन्नस्मे सुगार्हपत्या इषः सन् दिदीहि अस्मद्र्यक् सन् श्रवांसि सं मिमीहि ॥२॥

The subject of duties of a king is dealt.
O king ! the fire indeed is the bearer of oblations and resplendent. It protects and illuminates like the Omnipresent God. In the same manner, you being our shining and ever youthful father give us food along with various things like fire (knowledge etc.) and others. Knowing us well and enlightening us, arrange for us study, teaching and other beneficial activities.
