प्र ते॒ पूर्वा॑णि॒ कर॑णानि वोचं॒ प्र नूत॑ना मघव॒न्या च॒कर्थ॑। शक्ती॑वो॒ यद्वि॒भरा॒ रोद॑सी उ॒भे जय॑न्न॒पो मन॑वे॒ दानु॑चित्राः ॥६॥
pra te pūrvāṇi karaṇāni vocam pra nūtanā maghavan yā cakartha | śaktīvo yad vibharā rodasī ubhe jayann apo manave dānucitrāḥ ||
प्र। ते॒। पूर्वा॑णि॒। कर॑णानि। वो॒च॒म्। प्र। नूत॑ना। म॒घ॒ऽव॒न्। या। च॒कर्थ॑। शक्ति॑ऽवः। यत्। वि॒ऽभराः॑। रोद॑सी॒ इति॑। उ॒भे इति॑। जय॑न्। अ॒पः। म॑नवे। दानु॑ऽचित्राः ॥६॥

अथ विद्वद्गुणानाह ॥
हे शक्तीवो मघवन् राजन् ! विपश्चितो यद्या पूर्वाणि करणानि या नूतना प्र साध्नुवन्ति तान्यहं ते तथा प्र वोचं ये विभरा दानुचित्रा विद्वांसो मनव उभे रोदसी विज्ञापयन्ति तैः सह त्वं मनवेऽपो जयँस्तेषां सुखाय सत्कारं चकर्थ ॥६॥

The attributes of the highly learned persons are told.
O powerful king ! endowed with much honored wealth, I tell you the means used by highly learned persons earlier and used by them now in recent times. You should honor those wonderfully liberal and thoughtful persons, who uphold very well (the earth and heaven and instruct all). Dwelling with them, you should achieve victory over (the Pranas) your enemies for the benefit of the thoughtful, and honor them with delight.
