उ॒त वा॒जिनं॑ पुरुनि॒ष्षिध्वा॑नं दधि॒क्रामु॑ ददथुर्वि॒श्वकृ॑ष्टिम्। ऋ॒जि॒प्यं श्ये॒नं प्रु॑षि॒तप्सु॑मा॒शुं च॒र्कृत्य॑म॒र्यो नृ॒पतिं॒ न शूर॑म् ॥२॥
uta vājinam puruniṣṣidhvānaṁ dadhikrām u dadathur viśvakṛṣṭim | ṛjipyaṁ śyenam pruṣitapsum āśuṁ carkṛtyam aryo nṛpatiṁ na śūram ||
उ॒त। वा॒जिन॑म्। पु॒रु॒निः॒ऽसिध्वा॑नम्। द॒धि॒ऽक्राम्। ऊ॒म् इति॑। द॒द॒थुः॒। वि॒श्वऽकृ॑ष्टिम्। ऋ॒जि॒प्यम्। श्ये॒नम्। प्रु॒षि॒तऽप्सु॑म्। आ॒शुम्। च॒र्कृत्य॑म्। अ॒र्यः। नृ॒ऽपति॑म्। न। शूर॑म् ॥२॥

हे सभासेनेशौ ! युवां यस्मादर्यः शूरं नृपतिं न वाजिनं पुरुनिष्षिध्वानं दधिक्रां विश्वकृष्टिमुत वाजिनमु ऋजिप्यं प्रुषितप्सुं श्येनमिव चर्कृत्यमाशुं ददथुः स विजयाय प्रभवेत् ॥२॥

The attributes of a king are stated.
O President of the Council and Commander-in-Chief of the army! that man is able to conquer his enemies whom you give all support, who is swift, Repeller of the foes, and with whose help the men conquer. He is the best among the protectors of the straight-going, impetuous like a hawk, and much adorable. Such a man eats pure food, is brave like a protecting king and destroys his enemies.
