अ॒व॒द्यमि॑व॒ मन्य॑माना॒ गुहा॑क॒रिन्द्रं॑ मा॒ता वी॒र्ये॑णा॒ न्यृ॑ष्टम्। अथोद॑स्थात्स्व॒यमत्कं॒ वसा॑न॒ आ रोद॑सी अपृणा॒ज्जाय॑मानः ॥५॥
avadyam iva manyamānā guhākar indram mātā vīryeṇā nyṛṣṭam | athod asthāt svayam atkaṁ vasāna ā rodasī apṛṇāj jāyamānaḥ ||
अ॒व॒द्यम्ऽइ॑व। मन्य॑माना। गुहा॑। अ॒कः॒। इन्द्र॑म्। मा॒ता। वी॒र्ये॑ण। निऽऋ॑ष्टम्। अथ॑। उत्। अ॒स्था॒त्। स्व॒यम्। अत्क॑म्। वसा॑नः। आ। रोद॑सी॒ इति॑। अ॒पृ॒णा॒त्। जाय॑मानः ॥५॥

अब मान करनेवाली माता से उत्तम ऐश्वर्यवान् पुरुष के पालनादि विषय को अगले मन्त्र में कहते हैं ॥

यथा मन्यमाना माता गुहा वीर्येणा न्यृष्टमिन्द्रमवद्यमिवाऽकस्तथैव जायमानः सूर्यो रोदसी आपृणाद् यथात्कं वसानो जनस्स्वयमेवोपर्यागच्छेत्तथा य उदस्थात्सोऽथ सर्वं जगद्रक्षति ॥५॥

The way to bring up children is told to mothers.
The mother gave birth to an Indra (would-be king) with the desires of welfare. She nurtures great urge so that there may not be any un-desirable trait in him. As soon as he passed out of his seat of education like the sun, he filled earth and heaven with his splendor. It is like a well-dressed man, who comes out with his splendor and protects the world.
