किं ते॑ कृण्वन्ति॒ कीक॑टेषु॒ गावो॒ नाशिरं॑ दु॒ह्रे न त॑पन्ति घ॒र्मम्। आ नो॑ भर॒ प्रम॑गन्दस्य॒ वेदो॑ नैचाशा॒खं म॑घवन्रन्धया नः॥
kiṁ te kṛṇvanti kīkaṭeṣu gāvo nāśiraṁ duhre na tapanti gharmam | ā no bhara pramagandasya vedo naicāśākham maghavan randhayā naḥ ||

अथ विद्वद्विषयमाह।
हे विद्वन् ! ते कीकटेषु गावो नाऽऽशिरं दुह्रे घर्मं न तपन्ति ते किं कृण्वन्ति त्वं नः प्रमगन्दस्य वेद आ भर। हे मघवँस्त्वं नो नैचाशाखं रन्धय ॥१४॥

The duties of the enlightened persons are told.
O learned king ! you possess admirable wealth, what do the cattle have no faith in the Vedic teachings and rites or in place inhabited do among the atheists because they by them. They yield no milk to mix with the Soma, and do not perform the Yajna with the ghee of the cows. Therefore, bring them to us, so that we may use them for hospitality (giving the milk mixed with Soma) to teachers and preachers. Give us wealth taken away from the wicked persons for the use of those who hailing from a good family come to us. Remove far away from us a man who uses his power for doing mean or inglorious acts or keep him under us.
