ये मरुतोऽस्येन्द्रस्य शर्द्धो विविप्रे आसन्मधुमदिद्विविप्रे यो येभिरिषितो वृत्रस्येवाऽमर्मणो मर्म मन्यमानस्य विवेद ते स च नु स्वाभीष्टं प्राप्नुवन्ति ॥४॥

The nature and functions of the enlightened persons is told.
The Maruts (heroes impetuous like the wind) promote the strength of wealthy and mighty commander of the arms, and thus fill their mouths with honey and other sweet nourishing things. Animated by those brave warriors, he (Indra) pierced the vital wing of the cloud-like enemy who considered himself to be invulnerable.
