त्वया॒ यथा॑ गृत्सम॒दासो॑ अग्ने॒ गुहा॑ व॒न्वन्त॒ उप॑राँ अ॒भि ष्युः। सु॒वीरा॑सो अभिमाति॒षाहः॒ स्मत्सू॒रिभ्यो॑ गृण॒ते तद्वयो॑ धाः॥
tvayā yathā gṛtsamadāso agne guhā vanvanta uparām̐ abhi ṣyuḥ | suvīrāso abhimātiṣāhaḥ smat sūribhyo gṛṇate tad vayo dhāḥ ||
त्वया॑। यथा॑। गृ॒त्स॒ऽम॒दासः॑। अ॒ग्ने॒। गुहा॑। व॒न्वन्तः॑। उप॑रान्। अ॒भि। स्युरिति॒ स्युः। सु॒ऽवीरा॑सः। अ॒भि॒मा॒ति॒ऽसहः॑। स्मत्। सू॒रिऽभ्यः॑। गृ॒ण॒ते। तत्। वयः॑। धाः॒॥

फिर उसी विषय को अगले मन्त्र में कहा है।

पुनस्तमेव विषयमाह।
हे अग्ने विद्वन् यथा त्वया सह वर्त्तमानाः गृत्समदासो गुहा वन्वन्तः सुवीरासः सूरिभ्यो विद्याः प्राप्य उपरान् सूर्य इवाभिमातिसहोऽभिष्युस्तथा यस्तद्वयोधास्तं ये गृणते तैस्सह स्मद्वयमपीदृशाः स्याम ॥९॥

A scholar dispels ignorance like the sun dispels darkness.
The scholars take much delight in the learned persons. With their wisdom and warriors, they become victorious over others. As the sun rays dispels the darkness, such scholars dispel ignorance and thrash out the enemy, who are otherwise adamant and proud. We should emulate such scholars called Gritsamadas.
