आ॒शुभि॑श्चि॒द्यान्वि मु॑चाति नू॒नमरी॑रम॒दत॑मानं चि॒देतोः॑। अ॒ह्यर्षू॑णां चि॒न्न्य॑याँ अवि॒ष्यामनु॑ व्र॒तं स॑वि॒तुर्मोक्यागा॑त्॥
āśubhiś cid yān vi mucāti nūnam arīramad atamānaṁ cid etoḥ | ahyarṣūṇāṁ cin ny ayām̐ aviṣyām anu vrataṁ savitur moky āgāt ||
आशुऽभिः॑। चि॒त्। यान्। वि। मु॒चा॒ति॒। नू॒नम्। अरी॑रमत्। अत॑मानम्। चि॒त्। एतोः॑। अ॒ह्यर्षू॑णाम्। चि॒त्। नि। अ॒या॒न्। अ॒वि॒ष्याम्। अनु॑। व्र॒तम्। स॒वि॒तुः। मोकी॑। आ। अ॒गा॒त्॥

या मोक्याशुभिर्यान् यान् वि मुचात्येतोरतमानं चिन्नूनमरीरमदह्यर्षूणां चिदविष्यां सवितुरनुव्रतं न्यागात्। एतच्चिदीश्वरनियमाद्भवति ॥३॥

The power of God is described.
The sun moving on its axis is liberated by its rapid rays. Verily, it has stopped a traveler from his journey and it restrains the desires of warriors for combat. This happens when the sun sets the night which follows the end of the activities of the sun. All this happens under the Laws ordained by the Omnipotent and Omniscient God.
