सिन्धु॒र्न क्षोदः॒ शिमी॑वाँ ऋघाय॒तो वृषे॑व॒ वध्रीँ॑र॒भि व॒ष्ट्योज॑सा। अ॒ग्नेरि॑व॒ प्रसि॑ति॒र्नाह॒ वर्त॑वे॒ यंयं॒ युजं॑ कृणु॒ते ब्रह्म॑ण॒स्पतिः॑॥
sindhur na kṣodaḥ śimīvām̐ ṛghāyato vṛṣeva vadhrīm̐r abhi vaṣṭy ojasā | agner iva prasitir nāha vartave yaṁ-yaṁ yujaṁ kṛṇute brahmaṇas patiḥ ||
सिन्धुः॑। न। क्षोदः॑। शिमी॑ऽवान्। ऋ॒घा॒य॒तः। वृषा॑ऽइव। वध्री॑न्। अ॒भि। व॒ष्टि॒। ओज॑सा। अ॒ग्नेःऽइ॑व। प्रऽसि॑तिः। न। अ॑ह। वर्त॑वे। यम्ऽय॑म्। युज॑म्। कृ॒णु॒ते। ब्रह्म॑णः। पतिः॑॥

यः शिमीवान् ब्रह्मणस्पतिः क्षोदः सिन्धुर्न वध्रीनभि वृषेवौजसा घायतो नाशं करोति सत्यं वष्टि। अग्नेरिव प्रसितिर्वर्त्तवे नाह भवति यंयं युजं कृणुते स तं तं सुखिनं करोति ॥३॥

The attributes of an ideal person are mentioned.
As the ocean stores all the water in it flowing from the earth, and as a stronger bull attacks the smaller one, same way a noble and learned person performs nice acts, protects the Vedas or the scholars on account of its power. Such a person annihilates the opponents of real religion, and loves the other category. He is always independent and free from bonds. Those who receive good virtues from him, they are always happy.
