स हि स्व॒सृत्पृष॑दश्वो॒ युवा॑ ग॒णो॒३॒॑या ई॑शा॒नस्तवि॑षीभि॒रावृ॑तः। असि॑ स॒त्य ऋ॑ण॒यावाने॑द्यो॒ऽस्या धि॒यः प्रा॑वि॒ताथा॒ वृषा॑ ग॒णः ॥
sa hi svasṛt pṛṣadaśvo yuvā gaṇo yā īśānas taviṣībhir āvṛtaḥ | asi satya ṛṇayāvānedyo syā dhiyaḥ prāvitāthā vṛṣā gaṇaḥ ||
सः। हि। स्व॒ऽसृत्। पृष॑त्ऽअश्वः। युवा॑। ग॒णः। अ॒या। ई॒शा॒नः। तवि॑षीऽभिः॑। आऽव् ऋतः। असि॑। स॒त्यः। ऋ॒ण॒ऽयावा॑। अने॑द्यः। अ॒स्याः। धि॒यः। प्र॒ऽअ॒वि॒ता। अथ॑। वृषा॑। ग॒णः ॥
स्वामी दयानन्द सरस्वती
फिर सेनायुक्त सेना का अधीश वीर कैसा होता है, यह विषय अगले मन्त्र में कहा है ॥

पुनः सेनायुक्तः सेनापतिर्वीरः कीदृशो भवतीत्युपदिश्यते ॥
हे सेनापते ! त्वं ह्यया वृषा गणः स्वसृत्पृषदश्वो युवा गण ईशानः सत्य ऋणयावाऽनेद्योऽस्या धियः प्राविता समस्तविषीभिरावृतोऽस्याथेत्यनन्तरमस्माभिः सत्कर्त्तव्योऽप्यसि ॥ ४ ॥

How is the commander of an army is taught in the fourth Mantra.
O Commander of the army, thou art the showerer of happiness with thy intelligence endowed with all knowledge, thou approchest thy soldiers whose horses are very swift like the clouds, youthful. respectable, true, invested with vigour, sincere liberator from debt, lord of the army, irreproachable or without blemish, the protector of this intellect or good action and surrounded by thy troops. Therefore, thou art to be respected by us.
