ए॒ता चि॑कित्वो॒ भूमा॒ नि पा॑हि दे॒वानां॒ जन्म॒ मर्तां॑श्च वि॒द्वान् ॥
etā cikitvo bhūmā ni pāhi devānāṁ janma martām̐ś ca vidvān ||
ए॒ता। चि॒कि॒त्वः॒। भूम॒। नि। पा॒हि॒। दे॒वाना॑म्। जन्म॑। मर्ता॑न्। च॒। वि॒द्वान् ॥
स्वामी दयानन्द सरस्वती
फिर वह मनुष्य कैसा हो, इस विषय को अगले मन्त्र में कहा है ॥

क्षपावान् व रयि - प्रदाता
स्वामी दयानन्द सरस्वती
पुनः स कीदृश इत्युपदिश्यते ॥
हे चिकित्वो विद्वान् ! यस्त्वं क्षपावानग्निरिवास्मै रयीणामरं प्रापणायैतान् परं सूक्तैर्भूम देवानां जन्म मर्त्तांश्चादन्यश्च दाशत् स त्वं हि खल्वेतानि निपाहि ॥ ३ ॥

How is Agni (God) is taught further in the third mantra.
(1) God, who is at the Giver of knowledge to all through these hymns is the Destroyer of the night of ignorance as fire is of the dark night. His gives much wealth to His devotees .O God! protect all these many creatures on earth as Thou being Omniscient, Knowest the origin of the divine virtues and enlightened persons and ordinary men. (2) O wise learned man, you also give instructions to all through these Vedic hymns and destroy the night of nescience. Knowing the nature of all divine virtues and enlightened and ordinary mort.ls, you should protect all.
