त्वं ह॒ त्यदि॑न्द्र चोदीः॒ सखा॑ वृ॒त्रं यद्व॑ज्रिन्वृषकर्मन्नु॒भ्नाः। यद्ध॑ शूर वृषमणः परा॒चैर्वि दस्यूँ॒र्योना॒वकृ॑तो वृथा॒षाट् ॥
tvaṁ ha tyad indra codīḥ sakhā vṛtraṁ yad vajrin vṛṣakarmann ubhnāḥ | yad dha śūra vṛṣamaṇaḥ parācair vi dasyūm̐r yonāv akṛto vṛthāṣāṭ ||
त्वम्। ह॒। त्यत्। इ॒न्द्र॒। चो॒दीः॒। सखा॑। वृ॒त्रम्। यत्। व॒ज्रि॒न्। वृ॒ष॒ऽक॒र्म॒न्। उ॒भ्नाः। यत्। ह॒। शू॒र॒। वृ॒ष॒ऽम॒णः॒। प॒रा॒चैः। वि। दस्यू॑न्। योनौ॑। अकृ॑तः। वृ॒था॒षाट् ॥
स्वामी दयानन्द सरस्वती
फिर वह पूर्वोक्त सभाध्यक्ष कैसा हो, इस विषय का उपदेश अगले मन्त्र में किया है ॥

वासना का प्रारम्भ में ही नाश [Nip the evil in the bud]
स्वामी दयानन्द सरस्वती
पुनः स कीदृश इत्युपदिश्यते ॥
हे वज्रिन्निन्द्र ! यस्मात्त्वं ह त्यत्तं वृत्रं पराचैश्चोदीर्दूरे प्रक्षिपसि। तस्माच्छिष्टानां पालने समर्थोऽसि। हे वृषकर्मन्निन्द्र ! यद्यतस्त्वं सखासि तस्मात्सखीन् पालयसि। हे शूर ! यस्त्वं ह खलु दस्यून् पराचैरकृतः पृथक् पृथक् विच्छिनत्सि तस्मात् प्रजारक्षितुं योग्योऽसि। हे वृषमण इन्द्र ! यतस्त्वं सुखान्युभ्नाः प्रपूर्द्धि तस्मात् सत्कर्त्तव्योऽसि। इन्द्र ! यतस्त्वं वृथाषाडसि तस्माद्योनौ गृहे सर्वान् सुखैरुभ्नाः ॥ ४ ॥

How is he (Indra) is taught further in the fourth Mantra.
O Indra (President of the Assembly or the Commander in-Chief of the Army etc.). O wielder of the thunderbolt or strong weapons, as thou throwest away an enemy who is like the cloud the coverer of happiness, therefore thou art able to protect the righteous. O doer of noble deeds, because thou art a true friend, thou protectest or safe-guardest thy friends. O fearless hero, because thou cuttest down all thieves and robbers, therefore thou art able to protect thy subjects. O lover of heroic persons and their knower, as thou fillest all with happiness, therefore, thou art worthy of respect and honour. As thou endurest all without much difficulty, therefore thou fillest all at home with great delight.
