त्वं तमि॑न्द्र॒ पर्व॑तं॒ न भोज॑से म॒हो नृ॒म्णस्य॒ धर्म॑णामिरज्यसि। प्र वी॒र्ये॑ण दे॒वताऽति॑ चेकिते॒ विश्व॑स्मा उ॒ग्रः कर्म॑णे पु॒रोहि॑तः ॥
tvaṁ tam indra parvataṁ na bhojase maho nṛmṇasya dharmaṇām irajyasi | pra vīryeṇa devatāti cekite viśvasmā ugraḥ karmaṇe purohitaḥ ||
त्वम्। तम्। इ॒न्द्र॒। पर्व॑तम्। न। भोज॑से। म॒हः। नृ॒म्णस्य॑। धर्म॑णाम्। इ॒र॒ज्य॒सि॒। प्र। वी॒र्ये॑ण। दे॒वताति॑। चे॒कि॒ते॒। विश्व॑स्मै। उ॒ग्रः। कर्म॑णे। पु॒रःऽहि॑तः ॥

फिर वह कैसा हो, इस विषय का उपदेश अगले मन्त्र में किया है ॥

पुनः स कीदृश इत्युपदिश्यते ॥
हे इन्द्र ! यो देवतोग्रः पुरोहितस्त्वं विद्युद्वत्पर्वतं न वीर्य्येण भोजसे तं शत्रुं हत्वा महो नृम्णस्य धर्मणां योगेनातीरज्यसि यो भवान् विश्वस्मै कर्मणे प्रचेकिते सोऽस्मासु राजा भवतु ॥ ३ ॥

How is he (Indra) is taught further in the third Mantra.
O Indra (President of the Assembly) Thou who shinest on account of the virtuous, art benevolent like the Purohita (Priest), rulest over those who are possessers of great wealth; as the sun or the lightning strikes the cloud; in the same manner, thou strikest down the enemy by thy might for the protection of thy subjects, thou art known by us to surpass all others in strength in discharging thy duties, therefore we want thee to be our ruler.
