त्वम॒स्माक॑मिन्द्र वि॒श्वध॑ स्या अवृ॒कत॑मो न॒रां नृ॑पा॒ता। स नो॒ विश्वा॑सां स्पृ॒धां स॑हो॒दा वि॒द्यामे॒षं वृ॒जनं॑ जी॒रदा॑नुम् ॥
tvam asmākam indra viśvadha syā avṛkatamo narāṁ nṛpātā | sa no viśvāsāṁ spṛdhāṁ sahodā vidyāmeṣaṁ vṛjanaṁ jīradānum ||
त्वम्। अ॒स्माक॑म्। इ॒न्द्र॒। वि॒श्वध॑। स्याः॒। अ॒वृ॒कऽत॑मः। न॒रान्। नृ॒ऽपा॒ता। सः। नः॒। विश्वा॑साम्। स्पृ॒धाम्। स॒हः॒ऽदाः। वि॒द्याम॑। इ॒षम्। वृ॒जन॑म्। जी॒रऽदा॑नुम् ॥ १.१७४.१०

हे इन्द्र त्वमस्माकं मध्ये विश्वध नरां नृपातावृकतमः स्याः स नो विश्वासां स्पृधां सहोदाः स्या यतो वयं जीरदानुं वृजनमिषं च विद्याम ॥ १० ॥

The duties of a ruler are again defined.
O Indra! Chief Commander of the Army! you be at all the times and by all the means our defender. Preserve our people in whose sway there are no thieves at all. You are the bestower of strength of all these our heroic acts in the battle, so that we may know the real immortal nature of the soul. We may possess the knowledge of the Shastras and the path of the righteousness.
