यः पू॒र्व्याय॑ वे॒धसे॒ नवी॑यसे सु॒मज्जा॑नये॒ विष्ण॑वे॒ ददा॑शति। यो जा॒तम॑स्य मह॒तो महि॒ ब्रव॒त्सेदु॒ श्रवो॑भि॒र्युज्यं॑ चिद॒भ्य॑सत् ॥
yaḥ pūrvyāya vedhase navīyase sumajjānaye viṣṇave dadāśati | yo jātam asya mahato mahi bravat sed u śravobhir yujyaṁ cid abhy asat ||

यो नवीयसे सुमज्जानये पूर्व्याय वेधसे विष्णवे ददाशति योऽस्य महतो महि जातं ब्रवत् य उ श्रवोभिर्जातं महि युज्यमभ्यसत् स चिद्विद्वान् जायेत स इदेवाऽध्यापयितुं योग्यो भवेत् ॥ २ ॥

The chapter of teacher-student relationship is again opened.
A pupil becomes a good scholar and can teach as well, when his teacher makes him well versed in all the branches of sciences. Such a pupil is trained by old and experienced gurus (teachers). They possessed genius and acquired up to date modern knowledge and are renowned on account of their wisdom and wide learning. Such a guru imparts knowledge to this venerable scholar and practices all scientific processes through hearing, reflection, contemplation and solution of all problems and questions.
