स तु श्रु॑धीन्द्र॒ नूत॑नस्य ब्रह्मण्य॒तो वी॑र कारुधायः। त्वं ह्या॒३॒॑पिः प्र॒दिवि॑ पितॄ॒णां शश्व॑द्ब॒भूथ॑ सु॒हव॒ एष्टौ॑ ॥८॥
sa tu śrudhīndra nūtanasya brahmaṇyato vīra kārudhāyaḥ | tvaṁ hy āpiḥ pradivi pitṝṇāṁ śaśvad babhūtha suhava eṣṭau ||
सः। तु। श्रु॒धि॒। इ॒न्द्र॒। नूत॑नस्य। ब्र॒ह्म॒ण्य॒तः। वी॒र॒। का॒रु॒ऽधा॒यः॒। त्वम्। हि। आ॒पिः। प्र॒ऽदिवि॑। पि॒तॄ॒णाम्। शश्व॑त्। ब॒भूथ॑। सु॒ऽहवः॑। आऽइ॑ष्टौ ॥८॥

पुनर्विद्वद्भिः किं कर्त्तव्यमित्याह ॥
हे वीर कारुधाय इन्द्र ! त्वं नूतनस्यैष्टौ सुहवः शश्वद्बभूथ स त्वं तु हि पितॄणां प्रदिव्यापिः सन् ब्रह्मण्यतः सत्कुरु तेषां वचांसि श्रुधि ॥८॥

What should the enlightened persons do is further told.
O destroyer of the wicked persons ! O upholder of the artist learned men! (O dispenser of justice,) ! you who are endowed with knowledge and wisdom (of a new man in the performance of his Yajna) you are his constant guide. So honor the person who desires to acquire wealth (material and spiritual) being a kith and kin in the noble desire of the cherishers of the people and listen to his request.
