दे॒वं नरः॑ सवि॒तारं॒ विप्रा॑ य॒ज्ञैः सु॑वृ॒क्तिभिः॑। न॒म॒स्यन्ति॑ धि॒येषि॒ताः॥
devaṁ naraḥ savitāraṁ viprā yajñaiḥ suvṛktibhiḥ | namasyanti dhiyeṣitāḥ ||
दे॒वम्। नरः॑। स॒वि॒तार॑म्। विप्राः॑। य॒ज्ञैः। सु॒वृ॒क्तिऽभिः॑। न॒म॒स्यन्ति॑। धि॒या। इ॒षि॒ताः॥

The devout and wise men have attained mastery over their inner and external senses through the practice of Yoga. Impelled by intellect and good actions, they adore God, Who is the giver of true happiness and Creator of the world. They do so by the study of the Shastras (holy scriptures), association with the nobles, practice of Yoga and the eradication of all evils. They thus attain all desirable happiness.
